The circular economy is about making the most of all the resources we have and minimising waste. With the potential to reduce costs, reliance on raw materials and impact on the environment, the circular economy is receiving increasing interest from businesses, national governments and academia. Here in the York, North Yorkshire & East Riding area, with regional strengths in resource intensive sectors, such as agriculture and manufacturing, we believe that the circular economy presents a whole host of opportunities from increasing productivity to sharing assets so, we are hosting a workshop to kick-start our circular economy journey!

The workshop will icover:

  • Inspiring examples of best practice within the region and beyond
  • A session to review our work to date on resource flow mapping and opportunities identified within the circular economy for the area
  • Being part of creating an ambitious vision for the area and influencing the direction of the programme of work
  • Opportunity to network and collaborate with other organisations

The workshop is appropriate for organisations across all sectors. Whether you’re already actively participating in the circular economy or interested in finding out more about the concept, we’d love to have you there!
