Making Tax Digital is a key part of the government’s plans to make it easier for individuals and businesses to get their tax right and keep on top of their affairs. It will be mandatory from 1 April 2019 to keep digital tax records for your small business if you are VAT registered. MTD changes how you need to prepare and file your VAT returns.

David Marples from Abbey Tax will give an overview of Making Tax Digital (MTD) as part of a nationwide FSB roadshow covering this huge topic for small businesses which represents the biggest change in tax reporting in the last decade. The event will offer all you need to know to be prepared for the introduction of MTD, with our expert speaker covering the steps you need to take now, and covering all your legal obligations to be compliant with digital recording through the MTD software.

Schedule:
• Intro and welcome 5 mins
• David Marples 40 mins
